Ed
Rayson received his undergraduate degree from The University
of Tennessee in 1944. He received his law degree from
The University of Tennessee in 1948 with honors and
as a member of The Tennessee Law Review and The Order
of the Coif. He served in the United States Navy as
an officer during World War II. He entered the private
practice of law in 1948. He joined the firm, then known
as Kramer, McNabb and Greenwood, in 1949 and became
a partner in the firm in 1950. Mr. Rayson was Adjunct
Professor of Labor Law at The University of Tennessee
College of Law from 1951 to 1970. In 2001 the Knoxville
Bar Association awarded Mr. Rayson the Governor's Award,
its most esteemed award, which is given for distinguished
service as a lawyer to the community. His practice focuses
primarily in the areas of employment labor law, and
environmental matters in federal and state courts and
administrative agencies. He is listed in the labor and
employment section of The Best Lawyers in America and
is a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation. |
