Francis
Lloyd is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University
of Richmond and a graduate of the University of
Virginia School of Law. He is admitted to practice
in Virginia and Tennessee, and before the United
States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit
and the United States District Court for the Eastern
District of Tennessee. He was previously a partner
in the law firm, Herndon, Coleman, Brading &
McKee, Johnson City, Tennessee, a judicial law
clerk to United States District Judge Leon Jordan,
Knoxville, Tennessee, and a member of the law
firm, London, Amburn & Lloyd, P.C., Knoxville,
Tennessee. He has served as an adjunct faculty
member at the University of Tennessee College
of Law, and is a past president of the Hamilton
Burnett American Inn of Court. Mr. Lloyd is a
life member of the Sixth Circuit Judicial Conference,
and on the panel of approved arbitrators of the
United States District Court for the Eastern District
of Tennessee.
Mr. Lloyd has experience at the trial and appellate
levels in a broad range of civil litigation, including
personal injury, medical malpractice, commercial
and employment litigation, and arbitration and
mediation.
His most recent published case is McCurry v.
Adventist Health System, Inc., 298 F. 3d 586
(6th Cir. 2002).
