White graduated summa cum laude from Freed-Hardeman University's Honors College in 2006 with a Bachelors of Arts degree. While at Freed-Hardeman, she was a member of the Honors Society and various other groups. In the spring of 2006, White served as a legislative intern for the House Commerce Committee for the state legislature. She then received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Memphis School of Law in 2009. While at the school of law, White participated in the Freshman and Advanced Moot Court competitions, and was a member of the Association of Women Attorneys. She also received the Excellency in Trial Advocacy Award, as well as the Cali Award for Trial Advocacy. White is a member of the American and Knoxville Bar Associations.
