G. Wilson Horde was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 1952.  In 1958, he was admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee, the U.S. Supreme Court in 1959, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit in 1964.

He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1951.

He was the Life Member, Chair, Life Members Committee for Sixth Circuit in 1998.

He is a former Member of the Sixth Circuit Standing Committee on the Judicial Conference of the Sixth Circuit.

He was the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Professional Responsibility of the Supreme Court of Tennessee, 1982-1987.

From 1956-1963 Mr. Horde was a partner in the firm of Stone, Bozeman & Horde.

Mr. Horde was the First Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1963-1967.

He was Division Counsel for Union Carbide Corporation from 1967-1984.

He became General Counsel for Martin Marietta Energy Systems, Inc., in 1984 and in 1995 became Vice President and General Counsel for Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Inc.,  From 1998 to 2000, he was Class Action Counsel for Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Inc.

Since 2000, Mr. Horde has been Of Counsel to Kramer Rayson LLP.

He is the recipient of the American Inns of Court Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals Professionalism Award in 2000 and the Jaycee Young Man of the Year, 1960-61.

He is a Past President of the DOE Contractor Attorneys, 1973.  Member, Civil Justice Advisory Group for the Eastern District of Tennessee, 1992-1993, Member, Anderson County, Knoxville, Tennessee Member, House of Delegates;  and American Bar Associations; American Inns of Court (Hamilton Burnett Chapter).
