Matthew Brotherton has experience in a broad range of business matters and focuses his practice on finding solutions to issues faced by his clients in an efficient, effective, and professional manner. He strives to be an advocate for their interests and represents them to the maximum extent of the law. His primary areas of practice are Health Care, Corporate and Transactional, Estate Planning, Administration and Trusts, Local Government and Public Utilities, and Administrative Law. Mr. Brotherton is proficient at keeping his health care clients up to date and in compliance in an area of evolving rules, regulations, and laws so they can concentrate on providing their patients the best health care services possible. He assists his clients in a step-by-step manner in the probate process so that estates can be processed in a timely and efficient manner. He provides solutions to his corporate clients and keeps them in compliance with their internal bylaws and charter so that they can devote their efforts to building and maintaining their businesses He represents not only individuals, but also health care systems, community hospitals, physicians and physician group, specialty care providers, and corporations. Mr. Brotherton's Corporate and Transactional practice includes drafting corporate documents, assisting entities in incorporating within Tennessee, and providing companies assistance in various corporate matters. His areas of concentration in his Estate Planning, Administration and Trusts practice are drafting wills and handling the probate administration. In his Local Government and Administrative Law practice, Mr. Brotherton relies on his past experiences working in state government to advise his clients on rules, regulations, and practices in dealing with various local or state governmental entities (i.e., various governmental departments, agencies, boards and commissions). Representative Matters Mr. Brotherton recently assisted a health care client receive a Certificate of Need to relocate certain services and state-of-the-art equipment into a new medical facility, which will greatly benefit the people in the surrounding area.
