Lucas Fishman

Lucas Fishman is an East Tennessee Native. Born and raised in Morristown, he understands what makes this such a special place to live—the people. His family founded the local paper in his hometown and have been serving their community for over 50 years. This background has instilled a passion in him for community and service, which is embodied in his representation of clients.

For his undergraduate studies, Lucas remained local attending Carson-Newman University where he played football and studied business. He graduated summa cum laude earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance/Economics and Business Administration—Management Emphasis. In his final year, he received the honor of Outstanding Graduating Senior in Finance/Economics.

After undergraduate school, Lucas attended the University of Tennessee College of Law where he received his Juris Doctor. While in law school, he spent time participating in numerous clerkships where he gained valuable experience and practical knowledge. In addition to his time spent clerking for the firm, Lucas worked in the general counsel’s office for one of the largest privately held companies in America. For his final semester of law school, he participated in the Semester in Residence program where he worked in the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development’s general counsel’s office.

This versatile background provides Lucas a solid foundation in his business law practice. Growing up around his family’s newspaper company, he experienced first-hand the issues small businesses face daily. As he has grown professionally, he built upon this understanding in his studies and diverse work experiences. These encounters have molded his practical, wholistic approach to resolving his clients’ problems.

Lucas has a broad practice that is focused on transactional matters, including general business consulting, corporate and transactional, commercial, real estate, estate planning, and labor and employment.
