Paul was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended the University of South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing in 2020. Paul enjoyed his time in Columbia, but he always knew he wanted to return home to Tennessee, so he enrolled in Vanderbilt University Law School.
Paul graduated from Vanderbilt in 2023. During law school, Paul served as a Senior Managing Editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law and was awarded the Christopher S. Lantz Memorial Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law Outstanding Service Award for his service to the Journal. He also interned for Judge Eli Richardson of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, and clerked at the well-respected Franklin, Tennessee firm of Buerger, Moseley, & Carson PLC where his interest in civil litigation solidified.
After law school, Paul went to work at Buerger, Moseley, & Carson as an associate. His practice focused on defending local government entities against all manner of claims from routine employment matters to complex civil rights issues. He then transitioned to a two-year appointment clerking for Judge Charles E. Atchley, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Paul's service to the Court ended in August 2026, and he joined Kramer Rayson, LLP later that same month, excited to have finally made it back to Knoxville. He has a broad practice that focuses on employment matters and general litigation.
Paul currently resides in West Knoxville with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and nature photography.
